Ireland : Fungie's Harbor

This is the path from town leading to the bay where Fungie the dolphin lives. Fungie is a dolphin who has lived alone in the bay since the 1980s. He loves the attention of boaters and swimmers. But you can never predict where he will be or what he will do. We had a goal to see him, but we didn't want to go out in a commercial boat if we could see him on our own.
Sunday morning we decided to hike out to where he lives. We stopped at this tower and had family devotions and prayer, wondering over God's beauty.
Our son worked at Sea World at one time and loves dolphins. My nickname is Dolphin. We just had to find Fungie the dolphin, and not just the statue in town!

We walked out past the lighthouse, not having seen the dolphin yet. As the sun burst through the clouds, it was so beautiful.

I got tears in my eyes at the beauty of it all,
Then we saw him! Jumping in his harbor!
The boats in the region carried dolphin seekers. They had wetsuits so I assume they wanted to swim with the dolphin. But this morning Fungie was not to be swam with. He is not a tame dolphin!
Yet he put on an amazing show for us, jumping and splashing over and over again. I don't know if he heard us, but we cheered and called his name... waving at him.
We lingered awhile and finally had enough.
