Tallinn, Estonia is a place we didn't know much about before coming here. We became enamoured with a lovely old town within historic gates.
We climbed about 300 steps up a church tower.
We saw our cruise ship in the harbor.
We saw the old wall where merchants still sell wares and beyond, where modern hotels and businesses are built up.
And we also saw the direction of the historic churches and towers.
The old city square.
The Holy Spirit Church, from the 1500s, has paintings that cover the entire story of the Old and New Testament on it's walls. The young lady at the entrance assured us it has a vibrant fellowship of young worshippers today.
Across from the church we had coffee and pasteries at a shop that has endured for years, even through Communism as a place to go for a treat.
Russian Orthodox church.
