Rhodes, Greece: The Apostle Paul stopped here

From ancient days, Rhodes has been an important island in the Medeteranean. One of the ancient wonders of the world was at this port. The Apostle Paul stopped here during his journeys. I felt like I was walking in the footsteps of history as I wandered over worn cobblestone.
We saw a couple of churches with beautiful icons. One was an early church dating back to about 300 AD.

A highlight was the Street of Knights, from Medaevil days, when knights used this port as a launching place.

Below you can see these twin towers looming over the plaza in the Old Town.

Finally we brought our son off the ship to enjoy an archeological museum with us. The sunshine bounced off the columns and created great photographic moments to remember our visit.
