Mallorca: Two ancient cities

Alcudia is an old walled city with towers and fortresses, surrounded by orange trees.

This map shows where Alcudia is located. Pollenca is just north of it, and the Peninsula de Formentor is directly above it.

This old church was being sketched by a group of Spanish students.

The streets were quiet. Not being tourist season, we saw normal Spanish life in progress.

We saw these children playing in the schoolyard.

Unfortunately I lost most of my photos of Alcudia on my digital camera. There was a lot of history here.

On the way from Alcudia to Pollenca, we spotted this man sailing in the bay.

This is a view of Pollenca as we are climbing the mountainous road to the Peninsula of Formentor.
