Mallorca: Common Sights

The most common site in Mallorca is stones. They are everywhere! Stone fences line the terraces, fence in farms, are used for farmhouses and work areas, and line roads. Apparently the Romans built many of those stone fences. Sheep are often wandering nearby.

Cities are beautiful along the plains.
Catholic Church steeples stick out in every town.

In the country side as well as the city, windmills dot the landscape.

Also Mallorca is a magnate for many professionals. Professional bikers practice in the winter here in droves. At Capocorb Vell, we caught 60 seconds of about 60 bikers whizzing around a curve. In addition, painters, writers, botanists, archeologists, historians and so on find this place fascinating.

Orchards and vineyards are common. We enjoyed the bright oranges (and they were delicious). Lemon trees flourish. Olive trees are prolific as well. The Mallorcan olive oil is rich.
